The Jeonju Cultural Foundation

Towards the goal of making a new leap forward in culture and arts, the Foundation envisages for this city of Jeonju a traditional culture-centred city, the most Korean, and at the same time global, city of culture and art where people could talk together about the future.
As the hub of Jeonju’s policy of art and culture, the Foundation is engaged in the development of local culture and art through consolidation of its own basis and consistent support of citizens’ voluntary activities.
The Jeonju Cultural Foundation is a non-profit cultural organization funded by the city of Jeonju, well-known for its discerning eye for and capability of managing art.
The Foundation was established to promote culture and art of Jeonju in a variety of ways such as upgrading the level of the city’s culture by massing the local culture and art and encouraging consistent policies in their formulation, implementation and evaluation. It would also induce creative activities of cultural workers and artists, provide citizens with expanded opportunities of cultural enjoyment with continuous support of their voluntary activities.
